we were 'reading' newspaper together. and he pointed to me, a man holding a mic, "teacher, he's eating what kind of ice-cream, actually?"
"are you sure he's holding an ice-cream?"
"yes."
"are u sure??"
"yes, teacher," he said.

balloon

we all agreed to play with the balloons i've blown, for 'big and 'small' comparison lesson.
How we played? i suggested them to beat the balloon up to the air, and try their best not to let it drops down the floor. But most of them scared the balloon would burst , so they got ready with their hands closing their ears instead of beat the balloon up.

ants everywhere

during our break, when we had our snacks, she discovered that her cake was having the ants all over it. i kept 'killing' the ants i saw, but then came the principal, told us that "ants can be eaten."

she just can't sit still

whenever we read, or sing, or rhymes, or telling story, even writing their own exercise; she just can't sit still, but keep wander around the class, and has her own exploration in the class.
So, i just let her to be her, if she's not disturbing the others.

pressure

we were doing revision exercise on "1,2,3,4". But many of them can recognise the number, but still have no confident to write on the numbers, even find the numbers.
they can count, but they can't get to circle the correct number. Oooh, it's a pressure, a pressure for them? or for me??

yk gave many clues already, they still can't get 'van', but car, lorry, train, aeroplane, motorcycle, etc

my cantonese speaking 4-year old responded: "gei, gei!"
pointed to the ant picture, showing that he knew "a is for ant".
Just that he can hardly tell it in english, instead of his mother tongue - cantonese.

Each of turn take turn to colour on the circle they drew on the big blank sheet. After each one finished coloured, i would ask, "which one is the prettiest?"
every of their answer would be the same: "mine is the prettiest."

bead

Since yesterday only i realised that i had very awesome 4-year-old class this year. Although they might have some argue and fight sometimes, but a lot of time they are willing to learn, willing to try on new things, and helping each other.

We played bead today. A new 'toy' that i introduced. all were concentrating filling the beads to his string, there was hy having some impatience:
"teacher, you help me la... ..."
"no. you get it already, a few more then would be long enough."
"you help me la..."
I was busying tying up the others' finished beads strings, and i saw wj sitting with hy, helping her to finish hers:)
