he hates her?

this is not the 1st time i noticed doodling on na's exercise books but not his own books, or other friends' books.
why he does that? is that he hates her so much?

bittergourd

he saw me eating the bitter gourd, and he wanted to have too. So i gave him a bite.
"bitter?" i asked.
"yes."
"then why you want to eat it?"
"because eat bitter guard can be clever." he replied.

"why you never say thank you?"

he helped his friend open the gate.
Then he ask, "why you don't say thank you?"
"say thank you to whom?" i asked.
"to u?"
"why he never say thank you??"

pressure

we were doing revision exercise on "1,2,3,4". But many of them can recognise the number, but still have no confident to write on the numbers, even find the numbers.
they can count, but they can't get to circle the correct number. Oooh, it's a pressure, a pressure for them? or for me??

guessing

they suppose to guess "van".
yk gave many clues already, they still can't get 'van', but car, lorry, train, aeroplane, motorcycle, etc

a for...?

my cantonese speaking 4-year old responded: "gei, gei!"
pointed to the ant picture, showing that he knew "a is for ant".
Just that he can hardly tell it in english, instead of his mother tongue - cantonese.

which is the prettiest?

Each of turn take turn to colour on the circle they drew on the big blank sheet. After each one finished coloured, i would ask, "which one is the prettiest?"
every of their answer would be the same: "mine is the prettiest."

bead

Since yesterday only i realised that i had very awesome 4-year-old class this year. Although they might have some argue and fight sometimes, but a lot of time they are willing to learn, willing to try on new things, and helping each other.

We played bead today. A new 'toy' that i introduced. all were concentrating filling the beads to his string, there was hy having some impatience:
"teacher, you help me la... ..."
"no. you get it already, a few more then would be long enough."
"you help me la..."
I was busying tying up the others' finished beads strings, and i saw wj sitting with hy, helping her to finish hers:)

it's raining

"dear, you are showering, aren't you?" i speak out when i saw him sweating a lot and a lot more dropping.
"no. i'm raining." he said.

who did your homework?

"sweetheart, this is not your writing, who did your homework?"
"your daddy?" ... shaking her head.
"your mummy?" ... shaking her head.
"your grandpa?" ... shaking her head.
"your grandmum?" ... shaking her head.
then who??
teacher asked her parents if they wrote her homework.

"We hold her hand and write, teacher."

no forcing

telling myself that i won't force the children to read, or do his/her schoolworks.
learning should be fun and interesting. Forcing them to do so, won't benefit to anybody.
he is behaved today. And he managed to read all of his books to me. I gave him an "Excellent" mark from my heart!

4 years old are learning to write '4' today;
5 years old are revising on numbers, and are doing the '4' exercise;
6 years oll aina was sitting with the 5 years old class, writing her English writing, and she wrote and '4' instead of 'abc' in her exercise book.

in his own world?

i was teaching in front of the class; he was singing the CNY song, and wishing his friends happy CNY.
oh no, 50% of his friends did his tricks with him, and just the remaining children were with me.
i'm kiasu, that's why i stopped him for doing that.

10, 20, ...

we learn 21, 22, 23, 24 today.
"let's group the items in ten. circle the items of ten. Then count how many items all together in the box."
He circled 2 circles, and left out the remaining. Great!
But he can't count how many altogether.
"Nevermind, let's count together."
"here, 10, another 10, makes 20. 10, 20, and the next number is?"
"30. 10, 20, 30."
"no"
"it should be 10, 20, and 21, 22, 23, 24, etc."
"10, 20, 21, 22, 23, ..."

she cries again

school term begin, she cried a few days because of she's newbie here. When she get used and started enjoying playing with friends and read and write here; there came the CNY one week holiday; and continued absent from school because of sick--- another one week.
Finally, she back to school today; i'm happy to see her today; but she back to be as her 1st time came to the school.

crawl

we played crawling games today.
kq with his morning blue today. He stayed with principal and played with his toys while everybody else playing the crawling game.
He did join the game, and he became the 'traffic police' in the game later. During the last round of the game, teacher asked him to join in the track: he started in group A's track, and he took a turn at group B's track, then came back to make another turn of group A's track, and finished his line at group B's track.

忍

那孩子，宁愿忍啊忍，忍到妈妈来接他回家，才吵妈妈说他要大便。
结果，给妈妈痛打了一顿，今天伤痕累累。 poor dear.

敏感

"do you know what happened to his lips?" asked principal.
"I've no idea. But his lips as been like that since he came yesterday."
and i assumed that he got the bruise at home. I did asked him when i noticed about that, but he seemed not telling what was happened to him.
Principal continued, "he got that in school, his parent said."
It's actually a sensitive issue --- everything that happens to a kid. But sometimes, accidents just happen, and they make the kids and I grow.

she is good now

school reopen after the CNY holiday, and i'm impress to see jx back to be good again. no crying she makes, and she is behaving. 感恩。
